Verizon 5G Home Internet delivers home broadband over the same 5G network Verizon uses for mobile service, with a receiver placed in the home rather than a line run to it. Three tiers are sold — 5G Home, 5G Home Plus and 5G Home Ultimate — quoted at download speeds of up to 100, 150 and 300 Mbps respectively. All three come with unlimited data, an included router and no annual contract, and each carries a price lock running three, four or five years by tier. This is the fixed wireless product and is separate from Verizon Fios, which runs on fiber.

How fast is Verizon 5G Home Internet?
Verizon quotes download speeds of up to 100 Mbps on 5G Home, up to 150 Mbps on 5G Home Plus and up to 300 Mbps on 5G Home Ultimate. These are ceilings rather than guarantees — the speed you get depends on how strong the 5G signal is at your address and how busy the local cell site is.
Can I get it at my address?
Only where Verizon has qualified the location for 5G Home service, which is decided address by address rather than by neighborhood. Enter your street address on Verizon's site to see whether it is available and which tier is offered.
Is there a data cap or a contract?
No on both counts. Verizon states there are no data limits and no annual contract, so you can cancel without an early-termination fee.
What is the price guarantee?
Each tier locks your monthly rate for a set period — three years on 5G Home, four on 5G Home Plus and five on 5G Home Ultimate. The advertised rates assume Auto Pay, and a lower rate applies when you also hold a Verizon mobile plan.
Do I need a technician to install it?
Usually not. The receiver is designed for self-setup, and finding the spot in the home with the best signal is part of that process. Professional setup is offered in some areas at $99 and is included at no cost with 5G Home Ultimate.
How is this different from Verizon Fios?
Fios is a fiber line run to the building and delivers symmetrical speeds over a dedicated connection. 5G Home is wireless — it shares the mobile network with phones in the area, which is why its speed varies with signal strength and local demand.
