Does AT&T require a contract?
No. AT&T sells its internet plans without an annual contract, so you can cancel at any time without an early-termination fee. Promotional pricing still runs for a fixed period, and the rate rises once it ends.
Is there a data cap on AT&T fiber?
No. AT&T fiber plans come with unlimited data. Internet Air, the fixed wireless service, is sold on different terms — check what applies at your address before ordering.
What does AT&T charge for equipment?
A Wi-Fi gateway is included with AT&T fiber plans rather than billed monthly. Confirm the charge for your address when you order, since equipment terms differ between fiber and Internet Air.
How fast is AT&T internet?
Fiber plans run from 300 Mbps to 5,000 Mbps, with upload speeds matching download — unusual, and the main practical advantage over cable. Internet Air is quoted at 90–300 Mbps down and 8–30 Mbps up, and, like all fixed wireless, the speed you get depends on the 5G signal at your address.
What happens to my price after twelve months?
The fiber plans revert to a standard rate: $60 for Internet 300, $75 for Internet 500, $90 for Internet 1000 and $135 for Internet 5000. That second number is what you pay for most of the time you are a customer, so it is the one worth comparing.
Can I still get AT&T DSL?
Not as a new customer. AT&T stopped selling DSL and now offers fiber where it has been built and Internet Air where it has not.
